The Institute of Industrial Design Co. Ltd. is the only all-Polish state-owned unit which due to its statute deals with the issues of design. The Institute's activities include R&D projects, consultancy, promotion, as well as design projects in the field of industrial design and ergonomics. In this aspect the Institute's work is similar to that of foreign Design Centres, but in addition it accomplishes R&D tasks. The Institute co-operates with enterprises, central government bodies, local governments and design circles.
The Institute of Industrial Design Co. Ltd. is a member of International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) since 2006.
